The mighty All Blacks rugby squad is not the only world-class team from New Zealand.

NZ Super has become the world’s fastest-growing sovereign wealth fund since it was established in 2001 with the aim of ensuring that pension promises can be met for the country’s ageing population.

It has recently reported a return of 20.7 per cent for the fiscal year to the end of June, its third-best annual performance. Other fast-growing SWFs include Singapore’s GIC and Temasek, and Australia’s Future Fund.
