  • Structuring the Fund

Having such a long-term objective means that the Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation must build, and then manage, the New Zealand Superannuation Fund appropriately. The Fund must be structured and managed so as to represent the best possible chance of meeting our objective, but which also allows the Fund to cope with periods of market upheaval.

In this section we discuss how we have structured the Fund, we detail what it is invested in and who is managing some of its money on the Guardians' behalf. We also focus on the challenges and opportunities, given the size of the market, of investing the Fund here in New Zealand.
